Feedback Please
With this being the first tournament in more than 15 years I hosted, I’m hoping to get some feedback from the players. I’d like to do this tournament again next year and make it better.
Please let me know what your thoughts of the formats, the payout, the courses and other aspects of the tournament. What could have we done better? Anything we should add? Do Differently?
You can post here if you don’t mind others knowing what you think or email me. The tournament’s email is info@scdoubles.com and my personal tournament email is on the registration form that can be found in the right hand column on this site.
I will have a complete post later today with a run down of round by round scoring and that will include the payout for each team.

I thought the tournament was great and i am excited about the people it brought in from far away on its first year. The ONLY thing i did not like was the alternating shot format. The 66 Bing and i took should make the reasons obvious.

Adam….again a BIG THANK YOU, for all your work and effort in this, Bobby and I had a great time, that last round for us was one of the best times we had. I thought the way that it was, with the 2 different configurations in the middle , worked great. Yes, it was tough, but it did seperate the teams. My thoughts for next years sites…..Earlwood/ Owens field……Chapin/Stoney Hill……Chapin/Earlwood. I think that if we have something closer to the middle of the state we may have more come in from Charleston. Boiling Springs/Timmons would also be very interesting. Where ever you have it next year, we’ll be there!!!!
TEAM BLOWFLY!

Thanks for the comments. I think the next year or two will continue to be held in the upstate…living here and knowing I can have more time to raise sponsor dollars makes a difference.
Part of my thoughts/hopes for the tournament is to get up and going and after 3 or so years is to move it to another region of the state and then have it move through South Carolina so it has a feel of a true state championship.
Under consideration for next year is hosting at one course only with the same rotation of formats; hosting at the new Walhalla Course and in Seneca; possibly hosting at Timmons and Easley.
I will take some time off after this week and then start planning next years event sometime this fall.
Thanks for your comments.
