Walhalla Course

The new 18 hole course in Walhalla has all the baskets in the ground.  I went out there this afternoon and talked with both the Park and Rec Director and the second man in charge.  The course looks good.

Some concern was voiced earlier that the course played or would play too short.  They are now adding long tees on six holes and  multiple pin placements can be added in the future.

The tee pads are in the process of being constructed and most of the wooded holes have been cleared and the tee pads, while not yet built, are clearly marked.

Walhalla Park & Recreation wants to do an ‘opening day’ for the course in April.  They’ll cook hot dogs and serve drinks free.  They’re asking that area club members help by helping teach younger players how to throw and by giving them tips.  I’ll try and work with them to ensure their opening day doesn’t conflict with area tournaments or other events.
